Do you ever feel like you can't figure out how to get a handle on your personal financial situation? The whole process seems overwhelming so you put it on the back burner to deal with later but later never comes. Or perhaps you're stuck trying to figure out how to begin understanding your current position and steps to get you where you want to go. Perhaps you just need some help and guidance getting onto the right track with your money. Financial coaching may be the right choice for you.
WHAT IS FINANCIAL COACHING?
Financial Coaching is an approach, a process, to personal financial management. Simply put, it looks at your current financial position in terms of income and revenues coming in, and monies going out, in relation to your goals, and from there creates an actionable plan to help you achieve your goals and wants. It's also looks at your financial personality and behaviors and works on modifying and adapting ,if needed, to reach your goals.
Another key part of Financial Coaching--just like it is with hiring a personal trainer or some other expert to guide you--is the tracking and accountability part. Without follow through--just like fitness training--results may not not happen as expected without tracking and accountability. It's up to the individual to make the commitment to the plans and action, and a financial coach is there to guide, cheer, and help you stay on track.
In a nutshell, Financial Coaching is about educating, empowering, and encouraging you! It's a tool to help individuals have the life possibilities they want!
